ALFRED BELLOWS (8) Caught the eye when 3rd beaten by almost 3 1/2L last time here but testing ability against stronger contenders. Should get going late. No surprise to see a forward showing and one of the main hopes in this race. SPRINGER (1) On a quick back up. Folded up in the straight when 6th last start at the track. Should improve from the last run and has drawn to do little work. Looks promising in this race. ROAD TO VERSAILLES (4) Resuming after a spell of 51 weeks. Competitive effort when 3rd last start at the track and competing at a lower level of competition. Must respect in this event. BIG LEW (3) Backing up quickly for this race. Couldn't maintain the pace when 6th last start here and stepping up to a higher level. Shows good early pace. Can threaten if right today.
